Mini Ballet 1 (Beginner)
This class is for dancers ages 5–7 at a beginner level.
This program is designed for our dancers who are looking to immerse themselves into the world of ballet! Here at MDS, we believe in teaching dancers everything a style has to offer! In regards to ballet, we believe there is a lot to offer, such as poise, grace, respect, responsibility, confidence, and so much more! This class is designed to have some elements of play intertwined into the class while dancers are still learning many technical elements to be able to achieve our goals within the curriculum!

Mini & Junior Ballet 2 (Intermediate)
This class is for dancers ages 7–11 with at least 2 years of mini ballet experience or are at an intermediate level.

This program is designed for dancers ready to deepen their journey into the world of ballet! Building on the foundations of Level 1, this class introduces more refined technique, vocabulary, and combinations as dancers strengthen their placement and artistry. With dedication and progressive training, dancers will continue working toward the goals set within our curriculum.

This class is for dancers ages 7–11 with at least 3-4 years of ballet experience as a mini/junior.

This class is for dancers ages 7–11 with 5+ years of classic ballet experience, upon instructor approval.

As the most advanced level of our Mini & Junior ballet program, this class challenges dancers with intricate technique, refined vocabulary, and demanding combinations as they polish their placement, strength, and artistry. With dedication and progressive training, dancers will continue striving toward the goals set within our curriculum as they grow into accomplished, expressive ballet dancers.

Teen Ballet (Intermediate/Advanced)

Jazz, Lyrical & Contemporary
Mini & Junior Jazz & Lyrical Combo 1 (Beginner)
This class is a beginner level class for dancers ages 5–9 who are ready to discover or continue their passion behind dancing!
This is a combo class where dancers get to learn, work on, and articulate jazz and lyrical based dance! In this beginner level, we focus heavily on jazz technique and apply it not only in jazz but also in lyrical, giving dancers clean lines and a strong foundation across both styles. Dancers will build the basics of technique, musicality, and stylized movement in a supportive space where confidence grows right alongside skill. With an introduction to connection, storytelling, and emotional expression, this class is also a wonderful outlet for self-expression as dancers begin to discover their own artistry and fall in love with performing.

This class is an intermediate level class for dancers ages 7–11 who are ready to deepen the passion behind dancing!
This is a combo class where dancers get to learn, work on, and articulate jazz and lyrical based dance! Building on the fundamentals, we continue to focus heavily on jazz technique and apply it across both jazz and lyrical for clean lines and a strong foundation. Dancers will take on more challenging combinations in a supportive space where confidence grows right alongside skill, while connection, storytelling, and emotional expression remain at the heart of the class. As dancers refine their technique and artistry, this class is a wonderful outlet for self-expression and growth.

Junior Jazz & Lyrical 3 Combo (Advanced)
This class is an advanced level class for dancers ages 8–11 who are ready to dive deeper into the passion behind dancing!
This is a combo class where dancers get to learn, work on, and articulate jazz and lyrical based dance! At this advanced level, dancers will frequently learn new combinations in a supportive space where confidence grows right alongside technique. With new choreography introduced often, dancers will sharpen how quickly they pick up and retain material — a skill that makes them stronger, more versatile performers. This class emphasizes connection, stylized movement, and clean execution, while emotional expression, storytelling, and creativity remain at its heart. As dancers refine their artistry and take on more challenging choreography, they'll grow into confident, expressive performers.

Hip Hop
Mini Hip Hop (Beginner)
This class is for dancers ages 5–7 at a beginner level.
Mini Hip Hop is a high-energy, age-appropriate introduction to the world of street dance! Dancers will build coordination, rhythm, and confidence while learning fun, upbeat combinations to music they love. This class puts a special focus on growing each dancer's confidence, helping them feel comfortable and proud performing in front of others. Through playful exercises and mini performance moments, dancers develop early performance quality — learning to dance big, project energy, and shine on stage. With an emphasis on play, self-expression, and bringing big energy, this class helps our youngest dancers build a strong foundation while having a blast in every class.

Turns & Leaps
Mini & Junior Turns & Leaps 1 (Beginner)
This class is for dancers ages 6–11 at a beginner level.
Turns & Leaps 1 is perfect for dancers looking to strengthen the fundamental skills most commonly used in dance. With a focus on proper technique and progressive training, this class helps dancers build a strong foundation in jumps, turns, and the drills that support them. Here at MDS, we believe these foundational skills are what give dancers the strength, confidence, and control to truly shine. Through supportive, step-by-step progressions, dancers will build the balance, power, and body awareness they need — all while having fun chasing that exciting feeling of flying across the floor!

Mini & Junior Turns & Leaps 2 (Intermediate)
This class is for dancers ages 7-11 at an intermediate level.
Turns & Leaps 2 advances dancers into more demanding technical work, building on the foundation established in Level 1. Dancers will refine the mechanics of multiple pirouettes, develop greater elevation and control in their grand allégro, and train the strength, spotting, and alignment required for clean, consistent execution. With an emphasis on proper placement and progressive conditioning, this class sharpens the precision and power dancers need to carry their turns and leaps across every style with confidence and artistry.

Turns & Leaps 3 is the most advanced level of our mini/junior turns and leaps program, designed for dancers ready to master demanding technical work. Building on the skills developed in Levels 1 and 2, dancers will work on all of the dance skills needed to become strong, versatile performers and athletes, with a continued emphasis on flexibility, strength, and control. Through progressive conditioning and proper placement, dancers will sharpen the precision, power, and artistry they need to carry their turns and leaps across every style with confidence.

Teen Turns & Leaps (Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is for teen dancers ages 12–18 at an intermediate/advanced level.
Teen Turns & Leaps focuses on developing the well-rounded dancer and athlete. In this class, we will work on all of the dance skills needed to become a strong, versatile performer, with an emphasis on building flexibility, strength, and control. Through progressive conditioning and proper placement, dancers will sharpen the precision, power, and artistry they need to carry their turns and leaps across every style with confidence.

Acro & Tumbling
Twinkle Toes Tumbling & Acrobatics (Ages 3–5)
Offered Tuesdays & Saturdays
This is for our littlest acrobats ages 3–5.
Little tots will love this class and feel like superheroes! In their own magical little world, our young acrobats will giggle and tumble their way through somersaults, handstands, bridges, and cartwheels, building strength, balance, and body awareness without even realizing how much they're learning. Every class becomes an adventure all their own, where imagination leads the way and each new skill feels like a tiny victory. To give our dancers the very best, we blend the trusted Acrobatic Arts curriculum with our own for the best of both worlds. As part of our Twinkle Toes program, this is the perfect place for little ones to release lots of energy and grow their confidence in a fun, safe, and structured environment.
The Tuesday class participates in Show 1, and the Saturday class participates in Show 2.
Tumbling & Acrobatics 1 (Beginner)
Acro 1 introduces students to acrobatic dance through beginner skills that build flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, and body awareness. Recommended age is 5-10. Classes include bridges, rolls, handstands, basic balancing, and introductory tumbling in a fun, supportive environment.
Acro helps students develop confidence, resilience, and athletic ability while improving overall fitness. Whether your child enjoys movement or wants to learn new tricks, Acro 1 offers a safe and rewarding place to start.
Our program is taught by certified Acrobatic Arts instructors who emphasize proper technique, safety, and positive skill development.
Prerequisites: Acro 1 is designed for beginners. Previous experience is not required, though students should be comfortable attempting basic movement skills such as a bridge. Children with little or no acro experience are welcome.
This class participates in Show 2.
Tumbling & Acrobatics 2 (Intermediate)
Acro 2 is designed for students who have developed a solid foundation of beginner acrobatic skills and are ready to expand their strength, flexibility, technique, and confidence. At this level, students work on front and back walkovers, chin stands, front and back limbers, round-offs, balance skills, flexibility training, and a variety of connected acrobatic combinations. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, body control, and skill consistency while continuing to build strong fundamentals.
Prerequisites: Students should be able to perform a bridge, a backbend and stand up independently, and a cartwheel with reasonable confidence and control.
As students progress into more advanced skills, they experience the excitement of increased independence, greater athleticism, and the satisfaction of reaching new milestones. Acro develops perseverance, confidence, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness while providing a unique combination of dance artistry and athletic challenge. Students love the thrill of mastering skills they once thought were beyond their reach.
Our Acro program is taught by highly experienced instructors certified through the Acrobatic Arts program. Through safe and proven progressions, students build skills correctly and confidently while minimizing the risk of injury and maximizing long-term success.

Tumbling & Acrobatics 3 (Advanced)
This class is for acrobats at an advanced level.
Prerequisites: Placement is based on technical proficiency, strength, control, and instructor evaluation. Students must demonstrate:
- A consistent front walkover
- A consistent back walkover
- A consistent cartwheel
- A consistent round-off
Enrollment in Acro Conditioning & Drills 3 is required for all Acro 3 students. Together, these classes provide complete intermediate training for consistency, strength, safety, and progression.
Acro 3 is an intermediate-to-advanced acrobatic training class for students ready to move beyond foundational skills and begin developing dynamic tumbling, aerial, balancing, and limbering elements. Students continue to build strength, flexibility, body control, technique, and confidence while preparing for higher-level skills. Training focuses on:
- Side aerials
- Front handsprings
- Back handspring fundamentals
- Back tuck preparation
- Advanced balancing and limbering skills
- Round-off connections and acro combinations
Acro 3 challenges students to develop confidence, determination, coordination, athleticism, and body awareness while working toward new acrobatic milestones. Our certified instructors use proven progressions to maximize success while prioritizing safety and proper technique.

Tumbling & Acrobatics 4 (Pre-Pro)
This class is for acrobats at a highly advanced level.
Prerequisites: Placement is based on technical proficiency, strength, control, and instructor evaluation.

Enrollment in Acro Conditioning & Drills 4 is required for all Acro 4 students. Together, these classes form a complete advanced training program designed to promote consistency, strength development, safety, and successful progression.
Acro 4 is our highest-level acrobatic training class for dedicated students pursuing advanced and elite skills. Students continue to develop strength, flexibility, body control, technique, and performance quality while working toward increasingly challenging acrobatic skills and combinations. Training focuses on:
- Front aerials and aerial connections
- Advanced back handspring variations and combinations
- Back tucks and layouts
- Power tumbling and advanced skill combinations
- Technical refinement and performance quality
Acro 4 challenges students to build confidence, discipline, focus, athleticism, and mental toughness. Our certified instructors use proven progressions to maximize success while prioritizing safety and proper technique.

Tumbling & Acrobatics Conditioning & Drills (Levels 1 & 2)
This class is supplemental to our core Acro 1 & 2 classes and is designed to support and accelerate the skills students are developing there.
Acro Conditioning & Drills helps students build the strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, stamina, and body control needed for success in acrobatics. Through specialized exercises, safe progressions, and skill-focused drills — using both equipment and floor-based training — students develop the physical foundation behind every acrobatic skill while building muscle memory, refining technique, and gaining confidence.
The most successful acrobats know that skills aren't built through repetition alone. Consistent conditioning and drill work are an essential part of safe progression and long-term success. Our certified Acrobatic Arts instructors use proven, age-appropriate methods to help students build strong foundations in a positive, encouraging, and fun environment.
This class will not perform in a recital.
Tumbling & Acrobatics Conditioning & Drills (Level 3)
This class must be taken with Acro 3. Together, Acro 3 and Acro Conditioning & Drills 3 form a complete intermediate training program. For safety, strength development, and progression, this class cannot be taken independently of Acro 3.
Acro Conditioning & Drills 3 is designed for students working toward intermediate and advanced acrobatic skills. Through focused conditioning, flexibility training, specialized drills, and progressive skill development, students build the strength, control, and consistency needed to successfully advance in acrobatics. Training focuses on:
- Strength, flexibility, stamina, balance, and coordination
- Muscle memory and body awareness
- Safe progressions using equipment and floor-based exercises
- Side aerials, front aerials, and back handsprings
- Back tuck preparation and advanced acro connections
- Technical consistency and skill development
Intermediate and advanced skills require consistent conditioning, proper technique, and physical preparation. Our certified Acrobatic Arts instructors use proven methods to maximize potential while prioritizing safety and technique.

Tumbling & Acrobatics Conditioning & Drills (Level 4)
This class must be taken with Acro 4. Together, Acro 4 and Acro Conditioning & Drills 4 form a complete advanced training program. For safety, strength development, and progression, this class cannot be taken independently of Acro 4.
Acro Conditioning & Drills 4 is our highest-level acrobatic training class for dedicated students pursuing advanced and elite skills. Through intensive conditioning, flexibility training, specialized drills, and advanced progressions, students build the strength, power, control, and consistency needed for high-level acrobatics. Training focuses on:
- Advanced strength, flexibility, stamina, and body control
- Muscle memory and technical refinement
- Safe progressions using equipment and floor-based exercises
- Front aerials, stationary aerials, and aerial variations
- Back layouts, layout step-outs, and front layouts
- Advanced tumbling passes and skill combinations
Advanced skills require consistent conditioning, proper technique, and physical preparation. Our certified Acrobatic Arts instructors use proven methods to maximize potential while prioritizing safety and technique.

Conditioning & Technique
Ballet Basics & Strengthening (Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is for dancers ages 8–18 at an intermediate to advanced level.
This class is designed for dancers to work on their basic ballet technique, foundation, and strength! Through targeted drills and strengthening exercises, dancers will build the strength, stability, and control that directly support their performance in ballet skills and classes. Dancers continue to learn the exercises necessary for mastering the placement of the body, the legs, the arms, and the head, while working on the development of skills and the coordination of steps. The classes become increasingly complex as students advance through systematic development, with emphasis placed on developing strength, stability, and grace. Ballet is absolutely vital to learn proper technique and posture to achieve an excellent performance, adding gracefulness, connectivity, and precision to all dance skills.
All dancers will need ankle weights (1.5 lb each for dancers under 80 lbs and 2.5 lb each for dancers over 80 lbs), a KNK stretch band, one theraband, one loop band, and 2 yoga blocks.
This class will not perform in a recital.
Dance Conditioning & Technique (Ages: 6-18)
This class is for all dancers ages 6–18 at all levels.
This class is for all dancers who are looking to strengthen their bodies in an effective way that will help them with their dancing! Dance is one of the most demanding athletic pursuits there is, and this class is built to develop the true athleticism behind it — building the strength, power, endurance, and stability that every dancer needs to move at their best. Alongside conditioning, this class refines technique and incorporates targeted drills designed to help dancers build and strengthen their skills. By training dancers as the athletes they are, this class also serves as a powerful tool for injury prevention. It's great for all levels, since variations of each exercise can be made depending on age and level.
All dancers will need ankle weights (1.5 lb each for dancers under 80 lbs and 2.5 lb each for dancers over 80 lbs), a KNK stretch band, one theraband, one loop band, and 2 yoga blocks.

Flexibility (Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is for dancers at an intermediate/advanced level ages 7-18.
This class is dedicated to safely improving each dancer's flexibility, mobility, and range of motion to elevate their dancing! Through targeted stretches, strengthening exercises, and proper technique, dancers will work toward deeper splits, higher extensions, and more beautiful lines — all while learning how to stretch safely to prevent injury. Building flexibility hand in hand with strength gives dancers the control and freedom of movement they need across every style.
All dancers will need ankle weights (1.5 lb each for dancers under 80 lbs and 2.5 lb each for dancers over 80 lbs), a KNK stretch band, one theraband, one loop band, and 2 yoga blocks.
This class will not perform in a recital.
Footwork (Intermediate/Advanced)
This class is for dancers at an intermediate/advanced level ages 7-18.
Dance is all about shifting weight, thinking fast, and learning to do steps accurately to the music. This class works on EXACTLY this! Challenging weight-shifting exercises work the brain to be able to pick up any kind of choreography much faster and strengthen technique significantly. If you have ever heard "work on your transitions," THIS IS IT! This is a wonderful class to take, especially if you are working on improving your coordination and/or ability to pick up and retain choreography!
This class will not perform in a recital.
